Chandigarh Spinal Rehab- Empowering Lives!
With a thought of enabling independent living and enhancing the quality of life of persons with Spinal Cord Injury and Brain Injury, foundation of Chandigarh Spinal Rehab was laid. An initiative of Sai Aasra Paraplegic Rehab Centre, which is a registered Charitable Trust, this rehab centre was inaugurated on the 10th of July 2016 by Hon’ble Member of Parliament Smt. Kirron Kher. Chandigarh Spinal Rehab is a Standalone & Unique Model in our country & one of its kind in the Northern region. A 20 bed inpatient facility & fully equipped with an outgoing patient clinic ( OPD), this Rehab is filling the gap of the health care industry by supporting people who have undergone this trauma.

It’s been over a decade since I have had my spinal cord injury. Despite taking several years of rehab in New Delhi I was still dependent for most of my activities!! Today thanks to my short stint of rehabilitation in Chandigarh Spinal Rehab I can do ninety percent of my tasks on my own!! I have been able to participate and complete a 10 km marathon on my wheelchair which never seemed possible before coming to Chandigarh Spinal Rehab !!Not only that I also learnt to play Boccia over here and I look forward to participating it on an international forum very soon!!
